Mobile Meets Desktop in Compact Style
Are your customers interested in plenty of computing horsepower, sleek aesthetics, and configurable specs? Of course they are. Shuttle’s NX200B-C barebones platform is tiny, a mere two inches tall with a footprint barely the size of a piece of paper. Yet it packs some pretty attractive features. Its motherboard is based on Intel’s 945GM memory controller and ICH7M I/O chip. Given the system’s mobile components, it naturally takes SO-DIMM memory—in this case a single module running at up to 667 MHz. Take capacity a step further by installing a 3.5” hard drive, right up to 1TB in size.
Networking is one of the NX200B-C’s strongest points. Wired connectivity includes 10/100 Mbps performance, while a built-in wireless controller handles 802.11b/g. A matching antenna extends the machine’s range up to 400 meters.
Display support is enabled through an Intel GMA 950 controller built into the 945GM. The integrated core outputs through a DVI port that promises exceptional graphics quality, regardless of whether your customer is connecting to a nearby LCD or a TV many feet away. Eight-channel audio, a quartet of USB 2.0 ports, and a front-facing card reader all help define Shuttle’s tiny chassis with exceptional I/O.
